Q. Every artist seems to have his/her own approach to drawing. In your opinion, what is the single most important thing to remember?

A. Great question. I think it would be visualization.  The ability to imagine in your mind first where you want to go with a drawing is by far the best approach.  If you don’t have a vision of what you want your pencil to do, it seems to me it’s just a grope.  Doodling or groping around on paper sometimes works, but I never get the best result with that method.
