This is a great idea and I'd like to help support it. So if you'll let me I'll give the winner a free copy of DigiCel FlipBook Studio (list price $299). And if they already have it I'll give them a free upgrade to the latest release or to FlipBook Pro. And here's something else we'll try, just for the first round, to help this get started. I'll give anybody that needs/wants it a free temporary copy of FlipBook that will last until the deadline for the first project. All I ask is the right to post your entries on our web site. So now you guys (and gals) don't have any excuses. You've got free software to help you do the work and free direction from one of the all time masters. I do have a basic copy as it was recommended by Animation Mentor. Pretty cool program! I still have to play with it more myself.

Thank you very much for your generous offer. I'm delighted that you have shown support for the Cyber Garage Project. I believe the experience of animating on paper the traditional way will not only be an eye opener for many of the students, but I think they will also develop artistically by picking up the pencil once again. If this project proves to be a great success, I intend to launch others like it. We'll see where it goes. I'm very optimistic! In the past we have used Flipbook on our commercial projects and it's the best 2D software I've discovered to date for traditional animation.
