Default Is artistic nudity allowed?

Hey alltogether!

Since i sometimes post Life Drawings, i was wondering if there are any rules about nudity.

I'm aware, that a lot of other Art Forums (mainly the american ones , forgive me, i couldn't help it ) do have a problem with it and you have kind of put a warnsignal on the thread title that your artwork contains some naked people...

Sorry, might be a dumb question, but i just thought i'd better ask first, before offending anybody. But nobody complained so far so this seems to be a very liberal Forum

Would it be okay too, when i post them in a Live Seminar to critique?

Thanks and Greets

Joel

Thank you for asking and yes, please feel free to post your life drawing. It's an essential part of animation and we need to embrace that part of the animation heritage to really do our job well. So far we've had no complaints but if you feel more comfortable putting a warning, you are welcome to do so. I'm not sure about the seminar but it doesn't hurt to post and if Don or Dave think it's inappropriate, they'll hold it.

Good to know. I was actually wanted to post some figure drawings for the longest time but I didn't think it was allowed. Its too late for today's seminar... I'll guess I'll post it next time.

Default Good to Know

This is a good question and it is good to know for when I finally get some of my work posted. Because life drawing is a foundation to all things and it would be good to get some feedback. I am working on my final project for my class right now and have not had time for much else.

Can't believe I'm posting here.

Well, if you're making a children's movie, then, It wouldn't be allowed.

Unless you're making a not-for-children's movie.

Well im talking mainly about life drawings... I think to know how to draw the human figure is probably even when youre doing a children movie an advantage isnt it?

Besides, i cant really understand, why children couldnt be confrontedwith the human body... Especially since violence seems to be omni present in the media. Im not talkimg porn here, but i saw Fantasia the first time when i was about four years old and the naked centaurettes didnt harm my psyche in any way. Still dont understand, why Disney censored them in the newer versions of that movie...
