    The Making of....The Iron Giant

I found this interesting article on how Brad Bird pitched and made "The Iron Giant". Seeing what hurdles he had to jump from the initial pitch, smoothing over Execs about characters for merchandising, creating a program to make CG look like 2D, and working with a tighter budget. The animation team helped develop the film and gave them a sense of ownership. What a wonderful atmosphere it must of been to work on this.

When I think of the kind of animated film I would like to make, this one always comes to mind. The characters are few, but the relationship development is awesome. Ok, I'll stop blabberin'. Here's the link...

Ha I read that article a long time ago. Great reading it again, thanks for posting.

I really like that movie. Just has such a great feel. I can't believe WB did not advertise this movie the way they should.

I really like the Iron Giant. It's a very cool and somewhat funny movie. The animation done for this movie was really amazing.

And the article here is also interesting. I have some of the "Making of" clips on the DVD my mom has.

    Thank Zane!

The expressions of Hogarth on the first video are priceless.
