    Lightbulb Embedding Youtube Video

We've noticed and received a few messages about youtube videos not embedding properly, and we've listened. So now, you will notice a small "Youtube" button in the message box when you are posting. Here' how it works...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obAnx2UDvY0

Thats your standard youtube link. Now, the only unique information in that link is what follows the "=" sign. In the above example, obAnx2UDvY0

SO! In order to embed your youtube video, simply highlight the "obAnx2UDvY0" part, and click the youtube button in the message box. Your video will embed as it should.

    Therefore,

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obAnx2UDvY0

    would be

    HTML Code:
    [YOUTUBE]obAnx2UDvY0[/YOUTUBE]
    and look like

    [YOUTUBE]obAnx2UDvY0[/YOUTUBE]

    Questions and suggestions are welcome.

Any little tricks that veterans can give beginners in using the forum effectively?

I would suggest that the complete URL be posted along with the embedded tag.

Paranoid web-surfer that I am, my browser is set such
that there is no indication of the video - at all - from the embedded tag.

Thanks in advance to anybody that bothers to do this.

Naw. Just as a courtesy, have the plain-text URL nearby so I can grab and use that. Or at least the unique part. Like so:
    HTML Code:
    [youtube]obAnx2UDvY0[/youtube]
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obAnx2UDvY0
And I'm not asking anybody to make it a rule, either.
