    Don Bluth's Jawbreaker=WOW!

I might be late to the party
but i just noticed this the other night:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6uUMPoynRc

I loved it so much I thought it needed its own thread.

It's really amazing! I love how exaggerated the
facial expressions and the over the top acting.
It looks so fresh to me even though it was done it 84!

My guess John Pomery or Don animated the evil blue guy.
It seems like that would require some ninja like drafting skills.

Anyway i would love to see some model sheets on the character design.
I've never seen any production art published and thats a shame really because
    its so unique.

Has anyone seen any additional info or art on this???

When I first saw this Jawbreaker clip about a year ago, I thought it was a new movie coming out. Huge disappointment when I realized it was a project that never came together.

I wish Don and Gary could put Jawbreaker on his Banjo The Woodpile cat DVD or Bluray as a special feature so we could see it in better quality. I really like the animation in it.

That would be cool to see in higher quality like Blu ray. Looking on animationnation it looks like it was Phil Mendez's project and that he had Don animated it . At least it showed up on youtube. I wonder how many completed clips/shots that Don has done that is locked away?

Thanks Owen, however, the rights to Jawbreaker are owned by one of my peers, Phil Mendez. It was a sample reel that we created for Phil to help him raise funds for a feature film. The deal never materialized.

    Hi Zane,
This footage is actually a teaser intended to raise money for a feature which never happened. This is the only footage ever animated. Thanks for reminding me; I'd forgotten about it.
