    Arif,
    You impress me.

I can physically see your skill improving with each drawing.
And its not just your drawing skill either.

Your poses, construction and dimensionality have improved by leaps and bounds. I can almost feel this character's weight (the orphan boy's) shifting and balancing.

I find myself believing these characters are real and that makes me want to know more about them.

I'm not sure what you've been doing to get you this far but whatever it is... keep doing it!

Now... before your head swells too big I should tell you this.
I'm not seeing quite the same thing in that cute little mouse.
Don't get me wrong here... I still think he's awesome.
But for some reason he still strikes me as a 2D cutout.

If I can put my finger on what I think is lacking I'll let you know... but I'm still trying to figure that out myself!!!

When I look back at some of the earlier drawings of the mouse they don't really seem to be in any way off. Perhaps it's not the drawing... maybe he needs something else... a vest... or a scarf?

or... maybe its just me.... and I shouldn't type when I'm tired.

    So, one final thought.
I think the underlying construction you are using for the boy really helps flesh him out.

    Keep on drawing!

I really like this last one two Arif! (although I do wander a little what he is doing besides leaping foward. It almost looks like he would be looking back at the mouse on the ground... but his eyes are closed.

(It can be hard to read an image when its isolated from its context)

It has that 'Red Riding Hood' leaping forward feel to it.

I would surely love to see a thumbnailed walk cycle (leap cycle?) based on this drawing. I know you are up to it.

arif another cool drawing, you are practicing alot!

I should also post some pictures up, I like how you sketch the basic body out in blue then go over it in a darker color! I see Don doing that alot in his videos so I can tell your studying them

I want to see more of that mouse character if you have any sketchs lying around

Thanks for posting your latest drawings. I can see a definite improvement in your work. What I like is the feelings/emotions you are putting into the drawings; they have a very nice appeal. Would you do us a big favor. Please number each drawing clearly so I can refer to the drawings individually when I make a detailed critique. In the future, I will comment on your drawings outside the video seminar on Wednesday.

    Don
