Wednesday July 8th 2009
Right now, it seems activity on the forum, especially the weekly seminar, has dropped very significantly over the last few weeks. For this seminar to work to everyone's advantage, all members need to have a more active role in communicating their thoughts with Mr. Bluth. Although a lot of people visit the seminar every week, the same couple of members are the only one's participating.
With that in mind, we have decided to cancel the seminar today in the hopes that next week will have a revival of new members and questions. Spread the word in the forum; We can only keep this thing running as long as everyone is actively participating.
Thanks
Dave

Sorry to hear today's session is canceled. Here are my questions for next week.
When will the DVD format or delivery instructions be provided? Are you planning on doing this at the end of production or as we go?
When we come to the end of the CGP which I believe is October 5th... What will happen? Will there be a clean up or ink and paint process?
Ink and Paint
I feel that the CGP is a great learning device and could be a great inspiration to bring more talent to this site and possibly bring up a new generation of animators. Perhaps if a finished product is conceived with ink and paint we could learn more about the production process. What are your thoughts on this? Maybe members on the forum would be interested in helping out on this part of production?
On the subject of color and after having colored a few frames of animation myself, I have to say that color can change the way animation looks in my opinion... Color seems to carry weight into animation. Do you agree? Why do you think this happens?
Don you often talk about leveraging people's strengths in animation. Some people are strong at comedic, villain or sensitive characters... etc. I was curious, you seem to be able to do anything. Do you have any opinion as to what your own strengths are?

Sorry to hear this too. I suppose I am one to be blamed as I tend to hesitate with asking questions. I hope Don continues this because there is much to be gained from it.
I guess I have some questions for next week as well...
regarding the Cyber Garage...
1. Do you think there will be another later on when the first one is finished?
Animation in General...
1.How many drawings are usually needed to slow into a pose?
2.When working on Robin Hood at Disney, did you have the oppurtunity to work with Frank Thomas? If so, Did he affect the way that you animate with the way he animated.
I really am having a blast working on this project. Hope the seminars keep going.

If you are wondering why the decline, it is because everyone's questions get answered during the week. Most of us are working on CGP.
Today i had 3 questions for my scene, and am very disappointed in the cancellation. When the seminars were more busy, it is when Don, wouldn't answer questions throughout the week. So most of the members would wait until Wednesday to ask them.
Now most members get there questions answered every few days.

AGH, I'm sorry!! These last couple of weeks have been absolute murder for me at work!
I swear I'll try to be more active...I don't know what else to say. My day job keeps me extremely busy and lately its been really really busy.
A lot of people are probably vacationing as well, I mean it shouldn't be that hard. I pay to be a member of the club and what not, I wouldn't be doing myself a service if I didn't take advantage of it.
I'll try to be more diligent, my apologies if anyone feels let down by my lack of attendance. My apologies to Mr. Bluth as well.

Sorry for my absence lately Don!!
Sorry Don,
I really appreciate all that you do for us on this site and I will try to be more involved again in the future. I have been so busy getting my house ready to move that I have not had a lot of time to do art or go online as much as I was before. I will be here with questions for next weeks seminar!!!
Thanks,
John J.

Hi Don, so sorry to hear about this.. I was extremely looking forward to this weeks seminar as I haven't attended the last few weeks because I was overseas without internet connection. But I'm back now and ready to get properly started on my scene and participate more actively in this community again. I hope next weeks seminar is a success again, and I look forward to speaking with you soon! Again, thank you so very much for your time and this opportunity you have given us.
