Hello, my name is Katie, and I'm 24. I've wanted to join Don's club for the past five years so I'm very excited to be here, I look forward to meeting all of you.
I'm a huge fan and admirer of Don Bluth, he has inspired me and my art since before I can remember. The first thing I remember seeing was Land before time and An American tail these films always made me feel fortunate to have a good life with a family that loves me, especially the film All Dogs go to Heaven. I'm currently attending school to become an animater, I want to learn 2D because it's too wonderful to be a dying art form.
I believe that sometimes in order to do something fresh and innovative, you have to take a step back and do things old school. Does that make sense?
when I make films and such, I want to put my full heart into it.
I feel very strongly about animation and a child's perseption of animation.
I hope to meet others who feel the same, who knows maybe I'll find some kindred spirit! I hope so. God bless you all and have a wonderful day.
Welcome to the ship Cartoonangel....and you are in the right place.Enjoy and learn from The Master.
Don`t forget to attend the `live seminar` on upcoming Wednesday. Ask any question or show your work To him.
Dave has been on vacation for two weeks now, and he still is not back for today's seminar. I'm on my own without the knowledge to operate the technology. This week's broadcast will have to be canceled. I am going to log in to the website at 4:00 and try to communicate with just words. It will be slower, but it beats nothing.

Beautiful post! Nice to meet you, Cartoonangel!
Wow... someone that feels that animation is actually for kids. Awesome!
It's great to have you here with us Katie.
Welcome Katie! Don't forget there is a Don Bluth video seminar tomorrow.
Sorry about this, but Dave is still not back in town. He is finishing up a construction job in Utah. He will return this coming Monday Sept. 12th. We will have a Seminar next week on the 14th. I will log in to the website this afternoon at 4:00; maybe we can communicate with words.

Welcome to the site put pen to papper and jump in
Thank you for you for all the kind welcomes, I 'm sorry it took so long to reply.
I'm still trying to figure this site out.
As they say, "When in doubt ask questions!"
To be honest I think I still need to deep deeply into some of the older topics in the forum that I've never seen. There is gold in there!
Currently the Don's Club videos don't appear to be streaming. You may have noticed the 'Out of Service' messages. I'll guess Dave is having some problems with the hosting company. Hopefully that'll get resolved soon. I'm guessing its not easy streaming all that video.
