Happy to be a member here!
Hi,
My name is John Johnson and I have been a huge fan of Don Bluth since I first saw The Secret of Nimh! I am on other animation forums that I really like, and when I found out about this one I had to join! I think it will do very well, and I am glad to be here! I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Illustration and Graphic Design. By day, I am the lead artist in the prepress art department of a very successful printing company. It's a good job, but it's not the creative job I always dreamed of. It helps pay the bills and I am happy to have such a good job. I graduated in 1994 from KU and have been in my current position at the printing company for 11 years now. My wife and I adopted our beautiful baby girl Anna 4 years ago, and I love being her Dad!! Between the job and my family it has been hard to keep up with drawing and painting as often as I would have liked over the years since school. Lately, I have wanted more out of my life again. I feel again, like I felt back in school, that strong desire to be creative again. I have always loved Animation and Illustration of all kinds since I was just a little kid. My wife just bought me a copy of Toonboom Studio 4.5 and Flash for Christmas and I am determined to learn them and start drawing and painting again so that I can be creative again. I hope to post some of my art here and (I hope) some animation as I learn the programs.
Thanks, John

Hey John! Good to meet you! I loved the Secret of Nimh as well and thought it was one of the better animated films to come out of Don Bluth's studio next to Titan AE which was extremely underrated (though I don't know why).
Anyway, very cool to meet another animation fan. I feel like I'm getting a second chance at this too, as I missed it the first time around.
