    Wednesday December 29th, 2010

The seminar starts every Wednesday at 4pm Arizona time.

We are starting this thread early to give members a chance to upload any video or images they want critiqued on the December 29th seminar. The best format for video clips is .MOV files.

Please do no post images or videos from the current workshop as it is not fair for the other members.

Throughout the week, Dave will try to incorporate as many images and video clips as possible into the live seminar.

The deadline for clips and images to be critiqued in the live seminar is Tuesday December 28th, 2010 @ 5:00 PM sharp AZ time.

Please keep your questions concise so we have time to answer everyone. Only questions pertaining to animation technique will be addressed.

    Thanks

Hi Don, in the last time I started to make some rabbit drawings and designs. What do you think of them?

Hi Don, I redesigned my juggling elephant man that I showed you at the last seminar. I also posed him differently like you suggested to get a better view of his face.
I'm trying to keep him looking more humanoid but still give him the appearance of an elephant. I want his hair to give the illusion of large elephant ears but keep his real ears smaller.
Then I also focused his attention more on the juggling but I think that in doing so I lost the feeling I was trying to give him. (The feeling was "The joy of performing"). Do you have any suggestions on how I could improve him. Thank you!

    Hair

Don, do you think you could do a quick demo of a girl with hair coming down to her shoulders that has her hair blowing in the wind? If you can, just a head drawing with a head would be awesome.

    Thanks Don and Dave.

    Sung.

    backgrounds

    Hello, Don

While you were discussing how Ron Diaz backgrounds were upstaging the characters in the the secret of Nihm, do you remember which particular scene it was??

2nd part of the question: When A background upstages a character, is it a good thing, or bad?
