Your eagle is really nice and dimensional! You've got a really unique style so I don't think you have to catch up to anyone.

Mickey van Gogh and Salvador Mouse, love it! You can tell which artist it is, and tell that is Mr Mouse. Awesome. Got any more like that? Maybe a Micki da Vinci, or a Mickey Monet?
WOW! I love your coloring!! And I totally dig the robotic woman with the red dress!! the bubbles are great!!! The whole thing is awesome!
and of course your characatures are to die for. ^_^ LOL! I love them!!
I really need to get into a good life drawing class. They only offer one at my school and its during my work hours. XD *sigh*

Thanks JohnC, glad you liked the lions. I never developed them any further but I have always wanted to get back to them. Nice avatar picture, good to finally put a face to all the posts back and fourth. I will have to dig up a current picture for mine one of these days. You should post up some more of your sketches! I like the new Pirate sketch in your album, It looks great! :)

One of my favorite ways to draw is pen and ink cross hatching. This is a German Shepherd I drew this way.

Thanks, WillW, Amourwolf, BrioCyrain, Mithmeoi, Hana, and lavallelee for the kind words!:) I 'm glad to hear others on the forum like working with Pen and Ink and Cross Hatching as well as I do. Those of you that like it, have you tried Scratch Board? It has a similar feel to the final product but you work in reverse, scratching white lines into a black background. I like working with Scratch Board also.
Thanks again, John J.

I have done scratch board before! It was really fun but that was back in... fifth grade or something! Hahaha I took up etching though, I enjoy it just as much. I prefer plexi but glass is nice too sometimes mirror. :D Anyone ever try that?? :)

I have not been drawing as much as I would like lately or been able to be involved on this forum as much as I would like for awhile now. We were supposed to move in November, but we have been having trouble selling our house and are living in a half packed house till we can get the house sold. I have been working on getting the house fixed up and still packing up what we can live without. Not sure when we will finally move! Anyway, I have not posted anything in a while, so I thought I would post up some fan art drawings I have done over the years.

This is just a tiny amount of the sketches I have done over the years. I have tons of sketch books and loose sheets of paper full of these sketches in a huge trunk in my office. When I did most of these, I was drawing fan art and my own stuff all the time day and night everyday, and I became pretty happy with my drawing ability back then. I need to get back to doing that again.
Here is some original stuff I have been working on when I can

This next illustration I did for a science fiction short story I thought was well written. It's a sad story about a rich couple that give birth to a baby that is, well... alien like. They hide him from family and friends in the basement for years. Once during a party he makes too much noise. This is their normal reaction to his misbehaving. Let's say, the story ends badly for these bad parents.

Please let me know what you all think of any of these. Hope to be drawing more and more in the future and participating on the forum much more also!

Hi everyone! It's been awhile again! I have been doing some animation and here is a VERY short and rough pencil test of one shot. I posted it up on Don's forum here: http://donbluthanimation.com/videos.php?showvideo=361
and on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nM0WZ_8UnQ
Watch it in high quality because it seems to play better. Please let me know what you think, It's the first animation I have posted here.
Here are a few of the Key frames:

Thanks Arif and Joe! A facebook friend suggested I needed to work on the timing and anticipation so I added some frames just after he turnes his head and just before he starts to react to being scared and I think this slight pause really helps the shot. Here is the link to the upload on Don's Club:
http://donbluthanimation.com/videos.php?showvideo=363
I tried to upload the new one to YouTube but it plays it back wrong! It stops before the last frames. Not sure why its doing that!?
