I dunno if this sort has been posted here before but there is a site called http://www.posemaniacs.com/ (Posemaniacs) where there are a lot of poses of 3d anatomy's of females and males where people can life draw them from the screen of the computer as practice, cause practice makes perfect. ;)

But what it also has to offers is 30 Second Drawing (http://www.posemaniacs.com/?pagename=thirtysecond) were new poses come up every 30 seconds to challenge the sketch person and teach it how to fast sketch poses. and get around the anatomy cause learning the anatomy is the most crucial thing to learn when going into the animation business

Sorry Hreinzi this has been posted before. Posemaniacs looks like a decent reference guide for anatomy but the characters are cg models, not real life. I don't think this would be a good replacement for life drawing. In the sticked thread, we've posted links to Karl Gnass and Glen Villpu as well as links to the Walt Stanchfield book in the books section that might help people with life drawing as well.

I never said it was supposed to replace real life drawings nor even pointing that out. i just said here is some stuff you can practice and have fun with.

Thank you Hreinzi for the link, it is arguably tough to quick sketch a pose in only 30 sec. . But I like a challenge and I'll give it a shot...! :)

Just so we're clear, I never assumed you had. We have a variety of members, some are experienced and others are just starting, and I didn't want the new members to be confused and mistake a fun website as a replacement for drawing from real life.

I do sketch from the site to warm my hand up. One of the main ways I use it is for reference of muscles in a drawing I have created or touching up. I will take the life drawing and find a similar pose and cross reference the anatomy. It's a great way to get an idea of what is going on inside the body.

It is a great site to practice, but like already mentioned nothing is as good as a good ol' life drawing with a real model. At least until we hurry up and make those dang 3d hologram tv's! :D
