You're a fan of all things Disney, and up until now you've had no official community to share your passion for Disney, to celebrate timeless Disney stories and traditions with other fans. That all changed today at The Walt Disney Company's Annual Shareholder Meeting in Oakland, California, when Disney President and CEO Bob Iger officially launched D23, the first official community for Disney fans.

The fun all begins when you sign up for membership. Members will receive a personalized membership card and a suitable-for-framing membership certificate featuring many of your favorite classic Disney characters from the hand of Disney Master Artist Dave Pacheco — the perfect one-of-a-kind collectible to adorn the walls of any fan's room. Members will also receive a special gift from the Walt Disney Archives Collection, a new line of merchandise created especially for D23.

I think it is a pretty cool concept. A little pricey in my opinion to join. It sounds like it is more for collectors.

I read somewhere you can get the magazine at Barnes and Nobel. I saw some scans of the magazine and it looked cool. I do think the D23 expo sounds really cool as well. Over all it sounds like you don't have to pay to partake in some of what it has to offer.

I agree, I heard about D23 a few months back but came to the same conclusion. Great for collectors, not so much for animators.
