This is not my artwork at all. But I wanna show you this animated
short and ask your opinion.:D
It was made as animation college diploma by my friend some years ago when she was 18. I've seen some interesting production materials but unfortunely I lost them. ((
Polina said she didnt have a tablet to color and outline the film more correctly.
Software used: Flash, Photoshop etc.
The work has taken about 3 months.

Tell her that it was great! I liked it very much and she should join the forum!:)
I watched it again after I got back home from work and I have more time to comment on it. I love the acting between the two characters, and the story was simple but nice. The backgrounds were very well done also, they have a very nice quality of light to them. The animation was great! I am just back into art from a long time not drawing and painting, so I am trying to catch up on the art part of animation and also learn flash and toonboom studio 4.5. When I figure out all the ins and outs of the software, I would love to make a short film as well as Polina has done on "Musical Cats"! I hope to see more of her work, so I hope she will join the forum.

I really enjoyed the concept and how everything was simple and character based. That said, I think a little more polish work on the drawings, checking arcs, volumes, etc would've really made this piece come alive. The Gobelin's students (http://www.gobelins.fr/galerie/animation/) consistently have some of the best shorts and they always stand as inspiration for what is possible for student work. Hope that helps push your friend and help her see the possibilities that are available for her talent.

That was some pretty incredible work! She has some really tight control of moving the masses and forms around in a really smooth manner. The backgrounds, color, lighting, and staging are also very well done! Your friend is incredibly talented!
