So far I've spotted some amazing trailers to come out of E3 in the last couple days. I'm talking about cinematic trailers done by studios with little regard to the actual game, except one below.
For the action Star Wars: The Old Republic:

I don't know, something makes me wish Episodes I-III were like that trailer.
---------------
For the emotional: The Last Guardian.
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-the-last/50352?type=wmv
This is all in game footage. They bring a large ugly animal to life with realistic animation, visuals, and yet be so beautiful and sad. Seeing the arrows in its back, what looks like stains from tears on it's face, the chain in the beginning. Especially the part after the title is shown in the middle, and the kid stops to look directly at the creature as it's perched, and you get shot of it face. Looks very real.
It reminds me of Falcor from Neverending Story and has a feel of a Studio Ghibli film, plus beautiful music.
--------------
For the blow your mind,: The Beatles: Rockband
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-the-beatles/50199?type=wmv
Starts off with fresh 2D animation of the Beatles running through their history set to matching music. The last half begins to morph into amazing CG with designs as wild as you can get and almost look like stop motion models than 3D models.

Yeah, that demonstration had some cool moments. And for games, since the PS3 has an online store for smaller developers, there could be a lot of innovative releases that use it without having to wait for an expensive gimmicky major game release. As long as they don't make the combination of the camera and wands too expensive so everyone can get it.

While the motion controller for the PS3 was impressive with how accurate it was, the xbox Natal had something special about it too with a few added things. Though, I fear it could be less utilized in real games than the PS3 version due to no buttons to make it easy to walk and look around.
But with more advance tracking of the human body, voice recognition, it could really add to some games. Watching the demonstration of the kid Milo, imagine what the next generation of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion could be like. Where most the characters can be talked to like humans and respond to you. Imagine a king demanding you to kneel before him, and he knows when you are not, or make a face at him or a rude comment :)

I've had 6 ring of deaths....
I bought an xbox 360 on launch, it red-ringed shortly after 6 months, when the whimpy warranty was over. So I had to pay $140 to fix it. They repaired and sent back the same unit (same serial).
This time it lasted 2 months. At that time, news came they extend these to a year and a refund for my first $140 was in the mail.
I get back a refurb, 3rd unit, so my 3rd 360, it died 2 hours of use the day it came in the mail, mainly while paused in Gears of War while I went to eat something. At this point I freaked out with all the time I had lost with one in repair and bought a 2nd 360.
I get the 4th unit back from MS and eventually lent it to my brother kept the new one I bought. When Halo 3 came out, my new unit died after day of playing that. I waited a while to send this one back, and during that time, the one my Brother had died again.
So at that point I had 6 red ring of deaths. It hasn't grown since I haven't really played games much since Halo 3. And I only played once every other weekend for this to happen from the beginning, not like I was gaming all the time to put wear on the consoles.
My PS3 only had a 20gig drive die, which I replaced with a 120gig drive, other than that, no problems.

Umm.. Lavalle it's probably best not to get into this since along with religion and politics game consoles seem to be the trigger for forum flame wars.
Yeah I think the team ico game is very interesting. I always admire how they capture empathy in their characters and gameplay though I haven't played Ico or Shadow of the Colossus.. just watched youtube videos. I liked the new four player mario game too. Go penguin suits!
These trailers look SO awesome and I'm stuck with my older generation consoles. It's okay ps2 I still love you ;_; You aren't as expensive as those shiny upgraded consoles.

You won't even have to use your hands and if you do it's like a babys toy.
I've had my X-Box 360 for more than a year and I haven't seen the ring onse and my brothers had his for about 2.
If you guys read the manual it sais what causes it. Basically NEVER move the 360 around with a game in it and put it in a place where the air flows so it dosen't get hot, and the less you touch that tray the better, that's wher most breaks happen then the rings show up.
I don't think it matters what console is better. It just matters what games you like.

I think it was a design flaw that resulted in a high rate of failure in units shipped. It didn't matter if you kept it in a well ventilated place. Each of the 6 dead ones I had where on a shelf open on all sides with space above too, or even standing outside and propped up to let air under it (that one lasted 2 hours total) They new it was a problem and extended the warranty for the 3 red light hardware failure to 3 years. Any other malfunction, like a bad dvd-rom, was not covered by that extension. I also only played one or twice every two weeks, and yet I had so many bad consoles.
Moving the 360 around with a game spinning came up afte complaints of scratched discs. Moving it caused the game disc to scratch along the dvd-rom lens. They later put stickers on consoles to warn of this.
Around the time the Halo 3 edition 360s came out they had new revised hardware slowly coming out to fix the defect once and for all, and a 65nm cpu. People were trying to find the Halo edition with a certain batch number on the box to get this model.

I heard that every 360 doesn't even use some of the same parts. It's pretty ridiculous.
