Just saw that it came out in the app store, never got a chance to play this. Maybe I'll pick this up or wait for a chance to possibly play an original arcade machine when I go to the California Extreme in July: http://www.caextreme.org/

You can get Dragons Lair, Space Ace, and Dragons Lair 2 on DVD. They just use the menu VM in standard DVD players to run the game - which means you can play them on ANY DVD player. :D

Yeah that's fair John but since you enjoy Don's work so much I highly recommend checking out Dragon's Lair. I'm not much of a gamer myself but the animation is still beautiful today.

Everyone, I guess, have their films they associate with Don but it's Secret of Nimh and Dragon's Lair that I relate with most.

it looks great, My 30yr old cousin said he used to love that game :D
and he said secret of nimh made him cry in the theatres, I think I just missed out on that all because of me being born in the 90's owell the 90's was a blast :)

Just because you were born in the 90's doesn't mean you're so far removed from being able to enjoy Don's animation. He didn't make the game in the 1920's. It was the 1980's!

Yeesh.

I just got Space Ace off Amazon in the mail the other day. The actual movie and animation is awsome. Playing the game...... is enough to drive one insane. I JUST beet it and it took me about..... an hour and 30 minutes or so and it's about a seven minute long movie.

Half of the time those little flashes don't even show up until after you press the button, so you have to guess. A few times it doesn't even flash.

The death scenes are hilarious and humiliating.
All in all, it's basically a memorization game.

It would be fun to play with friends to see who could live the longest. Or see who goes insane first.
I'm glad I own it.
