Well, more or less.
I just joined last night, and I just started uploading some of my work I've done over the past year. I don't have an incredible amount of time tonight, but I figured I'd share just a few of my favorite pieces that I have right at my disposal!
Thank you all for the welcome, and I am more then pleased to be here! Can't wait to participate in the "festivities"
Also, I'm such a clueless goober-child at the internets... really. So, I hope these pictures shrink on their own. If they didn't, just kindly remind me that they're HUGE...and I need to be schooled better on forum use!

Didn't care to use the term "chibi" but that's all I could use to describe them :)

I forgot to place these in my original gallery post!
These were a ton of fun to do, and I think there's some forum members' characters in there!
These are gorgeous and I can definitely see the inspiration and I love it :D My fave is probably Furpo and Roy because their expressions are just awesome.

Wow - that seems to be the word. Wow, wow, and double wow! Congratulations. It's truly amazing to look at you character designs. The expressions are fabulous, and quite frankly, your style is a bit startling to me; it feels like I'm looking into a mirror. you graphic patterns are reminiscent of how I would put it all together; the shapes hang together beautifully and express themselves like wonderful music.
I hope you find time to join us in the CGP; your talent could help the other animators enormously. Your drawings do inspire.
Thank you,
Don

Thank you all for your comments on my humble-doodlins...
Wow, thank you so much Don for your encouraging words. It means so so so SO much to me to receive feedback from my idol. Like... not to sound too uppity, but this is a dream come true. I will tell you the "butterflies" are so MANY that my stomach is KILLING ME! *ingests TUMS*
I just joined the site, just a few days ago, and I am only a little familiar with the Cyber Garage Project. It's sounds absolutely exciting, and I would be a fool to turn such an opportunity down! I hope you have room for a character designer... I love drawing "crittertures" of people living or dead, and enjoy creating animal characters that I would love to see "move" someday.
I have never animated in my entire life, I have always wanted to learn. I've been drawing since I was a little girl, and it has always been my dream to work with a big animation studio. I live in Maine, so it's a bit hard to "get the word out". However, I hope to someday move somewhere with a larger animation community. I can tell you I'd feel right at home with the other "pencil pushers" :)
Thanks again for your feedback. *beams over the idea that I am speaking to Don Bluth* If I knew I were going to be doing this when I was a kid, I probably would have had trouble sleeping at night from hyper-happiness.
But yes, I need to find out how I can participate in the project, I would love to contribute in anyway I can. It would be my pleasure.

These characters are ADORABLE !!! I literally have an emotional response to them.
Furpo looks like a teenage "Banjo the Woodpile Cat" - I recognize that expression and attitude. The others are delightful too... I also appreciate the colors and color patterns you created, too... Wonderful.
You have certainly made a study of Don's work and applied it to fresh new characters... and you are a draftsperson extraordinaire !!!
Believe me, this aspect of creativity is every bit as important as animation... great character designs inspire animators. If we are "in love with" the character(s) our animation comes much more easily to us.
If character design and draftsmanship are what you do best, feel free to revel in that and realize that everyone working on your characters, from rough animation to clean-up will appreciate your valuable contribution.

Yeah its great that you have your own unique style but can match Don's excellently. Hope you don't mind now that you're part of the project if those of us who are struggling with the drawing ask for some help :)
Good luck in the CGP and congratulations on your amazing talent!

I've only dreamed of being able to draw dons style and to see someone that has and can emulate that style into all new characters is amazing.

To Jeremyhopkins, Heidi, and cartuneman... thanks a MILLION! I will tell you all I have been struggling with the fact that I can't animate, atleast not yet... and felt a bit discouraged about not being able to really physically contribute to the project as of right now... not to mention I lack alot of resources for animating. All I have is a pencil, paper, and maybe a window to put a sketch on to trace the next frame! In otherwords... very primitive animating tools. Nothing's more traditional then that I guess! (Luckilly I do have a scanner, and Adobe Image Ready to back me up :) ) We'll see. I have had my mind on this all day, and mostly lacked confidence and had the jitters like crazy. Now I'm feeling as if I can be up to the challenge! I will do my best! Thank you for the encouragement!
I hope there will be more character design contests like the rhino and pygmy owl! I was so upset that I missed those. :(
But yes, please if there's anyway I can help with the project just let me know! I will be posting any progress with animation practice here in the meantime! I'm currently working on a Sasha walk-cycle. It's honestly not as hard as I thought it would be.
Note to self...I need a light box!
Again, thank you all for your kind words and encouragement! Words can't do justice.

Hi Lizzle! I can't say how much your art inspires me. I love it! And I see Don's style in each and every one. I, too, have been drawing since a kid and always wanted to do animation. In some ways I have been intimidated by it- so much so that until this web sight and Mr. Bluth's project came up that I forced myself to try. I'm still working on my run cycle of momma hare..but I see with each try Im getting better and better...I can't describe the feeling of seeing it move the first time.
It sounds like you need a light-box to help you get started? I can offer you one if you would like. I have a small one that I barely use that is perfect for animation size paper. I'm using my animation disc/table I got years ago from another animator. I wiped off the dust and its been great. It's old and aged but it has a story and thats why I kept it. It was from one of the animators who worked at TerryToons studios. So I kept it cause Mighty Mouse, one of my favs as a kid, was animated on it.
Anyways...just send me your address and I'll send you the box. Far as a peg bar and paper...is there anybody else who can contribute??? I'd hate to see you not try cause you don't have the equipment....

Really nice work, Lizzle! Have I missed you offering these? You really managed to capture the style well, do you ever experiment with drawing in different styles? I should try this out sometime as well, since I tend to put a really big nose on everything.
Exept for two or three of these, I think I regocnise all the characters... I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing ;)

Heya Henieke <3 I am still offering them, and will be until I can't hold a pencil from doodle-exhaustion XD. I tend to poke around with different styles. Honestly I'd like to be even more toony!

Wow, you have made me the happiest girl alive. I will tell you I have been rather shy about working on the CGP because of my serious lack of animation practice/expirience and equiptment. There are forum members that have given me fantastic ideas, and I have been dappling with them... but oh wow....a light box. I've always wanted one.
GIVING IT to me?! Wow, I don't know what to say. Do you want alittle extra for shipping or ANYTHING? I will send you my address pronto, and see if we can work something out.
We have an art store in my town that has animation paper I believe. So I should be fine with that! Wow, thank you so much for your comments and offer! Wows :)

Splendid artwork! To me, it's like a blend of old-school Disney, Bluth's work, and manga! :D
Sorry if that doesn't make sense, but there's no other way to describe it in my opinion.

Hey there everyone!
I apologize for being away for so long and neglecting to update my current status. Shame on me :)
My computer died COMPLETELY (repairs aren't even an option), and I've been without internet at my home for nearly four months.
We're in the market for a new computer, and money is incredibly tight this time around, so I do not see myself becoming steadily active until spring at the latest. Until then though, I am enjoying the break. It's giving me a chance to catch up on commission back-log, and work on some personal art projects of my own. INCLUDING learning how to animate. I've been tinkering around with different techniques and hopefully when I get a new computer, I can upload and put the animation doodles together so I can show people! I'm so antsy to share my art again :) .....Extra special thanks to "dartzy" for being so generous and donating a lightbox to me this summer!!!
Thanks again to everyone who welcomed me to the site. I really wish I was still able to contribute to the CGP, but at this time it's looking like I'm going to be out of commission for a little bit. Take care everyone, and I will hopefully be back in the swing of things soon.
-B. :)

Computer problems are always a pain! :( Good luck and getting everything you need to get back up and running.
It sounds as if there will be more CGP coming up so definitely check back!
Keep on drawing!
