I don't know if this is used in western animation, but I find it interesting in Japanese Animation or Anime that all the girls have pointy chins to make the characters seem more feminine, but I think in some animations that it sticks out alot to see this girl who can literally just stab you with her chin. Is it really true that girls have thinner chins?

Often times yes. Notice how the male chin is usually a bit bigger and has the whole bone chin thing going on a lot. Girls' chins are a bit smaller. The pointy chin is just a very exaggerated method. Taking a feature that stands out and taking it to the extreme is a technique used often in cartoon style characters. If you read a book abut caricatures you'll learn a lot about exaggeration.

Thanks for the clear up, I guess it's just an animation thing. I get it now.

One thing that bothers me most about anime, is no jaw movement when a characters face is forward. It seems very unnatural.
Don't get me wrong, i have watched alot of anime. I am a fan of alot of series.
