This is a very inauspicious start. :(

Like stream-of-consciousness style! That might work! I'll try.

When I can't think of anything to draw sometimes I just scribble all over a page
and then look for images to refine - like looking for images in clouds. :)

Thanks! It will be quite an adventure for me to try drawing a Bluth character...I don't know if I'll be able to break from my style. That would be a good challenge.

Ah, clever! That's probly a good way to get some interesting shapes.

I'm a little dissapointed in myself...I just finished reading a fantastic book about getting ideas for stories and drawings. "What It Is" by Linda Barry...PHENOMENAL book. But I didn't put it into practice...next time.

stream-of-consciousness

I love that phrase. Theres just something about it. I first encountered it in the writing style of joyce's autobiography, and love to see it meted out in art.

That said, I'm not a jazz fan. :p

Well, maybe like a more naive, less finicky-swoopy Hirschfeldian style. ;)

There's nothing rotten about your drawings at all. Even though you may have no idea what to draw, you pulled from a life experience and put that into your work. The gesture reads and we can relate with that feeling so it works without you expecting anything. Cool, huh? :)
